En una convención de las Naciones Unidas en Ginebra conocida como CCW (Certain Conventional Weapons) se va a debatir la posibilidad de crear armas autónomas. Es decir, que tomen la decisión de atacar algún objetivo (si, esto incluye tirar a matar) con su propio criterio y sin la intervención de ningún ser humano.
Supongo que no debe haber problema en crear robots para matar, si lo que matan son únicamente a otros robots. Para cualquier otra cosa no veo ni siquiera porqué habría que debatir algo tan estúpido y peligroso.

Killer robots will be debated during an informal meeting of experts at the United Nations in Geneva.
Two robotics experts, Prof Ronald Arkin and Prof Noel Sharkey, will debate the efficacy and necessity of killer robots.
The meeting will be held during the UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW).
A report on the discussion will be presented to the CCW meeting in November.
